Golden Stalactites
Stalactites are in a tapering structure hanging like an icicle from the roof of a cave, formed of calcium salts deposited by dripping water. The stalactites grow over time. Similarly, the plastic items that I have included, such as a plastic bendy straw and a plastic. fork, accumulate over time and outlast a human lifespan. I decided to use gold, because gold is a natural element found through mining in caves and is a fine metal that lasts forever.

Octopus In Box
This piece combines art and technology and sculpture. I 3d modeled and 3d printed the tentacles and laser cut the box. My intention was to represent how we displace animals from their homes for our own benefit. It represents a destruction of habitats and environments.

Invisible Whole

Koons Park
With this piece, I was working with modeling of objects while thinking of waste and nonbiodegradable objects. Inspired by Jeff Koons, I wanted to use these objects that outlast humans and to enlarge/emphasize them, creating a park. These objects quite literally see the time passing and the people aging.
